Emergency Locksmith on the Mornington Peninsula
Locked out of your house, unit or business? Call any time, day or night. Tell us where you are and we'll get a local locksmith on the way.
Locked out? Here's what happens when you call
- Tell us where you are and what's happened. Front door, back door, sliding door, garage, unit block or shop.
- Agree the price. You'll know the cost before anyone is sent.
- A local locksmith comes to you. They'll look at the lock and tell you what's involved before starting.
- You're back inside. You'll be asked for proof you live there once the door is open.
Getting in without damage
Most standard house locks can be opened without drilling or breaking anything. Locksmiths use picking, bypass tools and other non-destructive methods first. Deadlocks, high-security cylinders and some smart locks can be harder, and occasionally drilling and replacing the lock is the only option. If that's the case, you'll hear about it before any work starts.
After-hours lockouts
Lockouts don't wait for business hours. Late-night shifts, early-morning surf checks and weekend trips to the holiday house all end with the occasional locked door. The phone line is open around the clock, and after-hours call-outs are priced differently to business hours, so ask when you call.
Lost or stolen keys
If your keys were lost or stolen rather than just locked inside, think about rekeying once you're back in. If anyone could have your keys and your address, the old keys should stop working. See lock changes and rekeying.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions, answered
How fast can a locksmith get to me?
It depends on where you are on the Peninsula and the time of day. When you call, you'll be given an estimated arrival time for your address.
Is an after-hours call-out more expensive?
Usually, yes. Late-night, weekend and public holiday call-outs cost more than business hours. You'll get the price before anyone is sent.
What if my key snapped in the lock?
A locksmith can usually extract the broken piece and cut a new key from it or from the lock. Don't keep jiggling it, as that can push the piece further in.
Can you help if I'm locked out of a rental?
Yes. You'll need to show you live there. It's also worth telling your property manager, especially if the lock needs replacing.
